Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What day of the week does the boat leave?

A: All boats depart on Saturdays.

Q: What meals are included?

A: We include your breakfast and lunch every day. Dinner is not included as every night we are in a different port town and this gives you the opportunity to try the excellent local restaurants. Your Trip Leader will be happy to suggest some of the best places to eat.

Q: What is the difference between Category A and Category B boats?

A: On Category A boats all cabins have en-suite facilities. Category B boats have a small washbasin but share facilities and are cheaper than Category A boats.

Q: What is the difference between above deck and below deck cabins?

A: Above deck cabins are on the boats main deck and have access to the sea. Below deck cabins are in the lower part of the boat and are cheaper, however they also tend to be a bit cooler on hot days.

Q: Do I need to pay anything to the Captain?

A: Yes. Since visitor’s taxes, port fees and entrance fees to National Parks are not included, you need to pay these direct to the Captain on the boat. Allow approximately €16 for visitor’s taxes and port fees. National Park fees will be between €10- €15 per person. Also, there may be 1 or 2 nights where the captain offers to do a ‘captain’s dinner’ or BBQ on the ship for dinner in which case you pay him if you choose to take part.
